Individual secrecy of fading homogeneous multiple access wiretap channel with successive interference cancellation

چکیده
We investigate individual secrecy performance in a K-user quasi-static Rayleigh fading homogeneous multiple access wiretap channel (MAC-WT), where a legitimate receiver employs successive interference cancellation (SIC) decoding. We first evaluate individual secrecy performance under an arbitrary SIC order by deriving closed-form expressions with respect to secrecy outage probability and effective secrecy throughput (EST) as main metrics. The resulting closed-form expressions disclose a significant impact on the secrecy performance from the order of SIC decoding. Therefore, we propose three SIC decoding order scheduling schemes: (1) round-robin scheme, absolutely fair and served as a benchmark; (2) suboptimal scheme, based on each user’s main channel condition; and (3) optimal scheme, based on each user’s achievable secrecy rate. Comparison results show that the last two schemes outperform the first one with regard to both the EST and the multi-user diversity gain, whereas the performance of the suboptimal scheme is highly close to that of the optimal scheme which is usually impractical due to a requirement for the eavesdropper’s channel state information (CSI).

Achievable Secrecy Rate Regions of State Dependent Causal Cognitive Interference Channel
In this paper, the secrecy problem in the state dependent causal cognitive interference channel is studied. The channel state is non-causally known at the cognitive encoder. The message of the cognitive encoder must be kept secret from the primary receiver. We use a coding scheme which is a combination of compress-and-forward strategy with Marton coding, Gel’fand-Pinsker coding and Wyner’s wire...
متن کاملOn the Effect of Cancellation Order in Successive Interference Cancellation for CDMA Systems
In this paper we study the effect of cancellation order on bit error rate (BER) performance of a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) system employing a linear Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) receiver in both an Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel and a Rayliegh fading channel. Four different ordering schemes are studied. We show that changing the cancellation order can lead...
متن کاملAlmost universal codes for MIMO wiretap channels
Despite several works on secrecy coding for fading and MIMO wiretap channels from an error probability perspective, the construction of information theoretically secure codes over such channels remains as an open problem. In this paper, we consider a fading wiretap channel model where the transmitter has only partial statistical channel state information. We extend the flatness factor criterion...
متن کاملEnhancing Secrecy Rate Region for Recent Messages for a Slotted Multiple Access Wiretap Channel to Shannon Capacity Region
Security constraint results in rate-loss in wiretap channels. In this paper we propose a coding scheme for two user Multiple Access Channel with Wiretap (MAC-WT), where previous messages are used as a key to enhance the secrecy rates of both the users until we achieve the usual capacity region of a Multiple Access Channel (MAC) without the wiretapper (Shannon capacity region). With this scheme ...
متن کاملPerformance of Blind Successive Interference Canceller for Multi-Carrier CDMA Systems
An efficient multiple user access over the wireless channel necessitates a communication system design that can overcome the adverse impact of multipath propagation such as Inter Symbol Interference (ISI) and Multiple Access Interference (MAI). This being the objective, a Multi Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) communication system is considered in this paper. MC-CDMA, being a com...
